Supertramp were a British progressive rock band that released a series of top-selling albums in the 1970s and early 1980s.
Their early music included ambitious concept albums, but they are best known for their later hits including "Bloody Well Right", "Dreamer", "Goodbye Stranger", "Give a Little Bit" and "The Logical Song". Supertramp attained superstardom in the United States, Canada, and most of Europe, although they were not quite as popular in their home country, the UK. Nonetheless, the album Breakfast in America was a big hit there, reaching number three on the UK charts and featuring two top 10 singles.
Manuel, one of my students in 3º ESO, really likes this group. He is a musician. He plays several musical instruments and he listens to music which most teenagers have never heard of. This is one of Manuel's favourite songs. I hope you also like it.
Lord, Is It Mine?
Supertramp Lyrics
Lord Is It Mine Lyrics
I really like The Logical Song. The lyrics are about how the innocence and wonder of childhood can quickly give way to worry and cynicism as children are taught to be responsible adults. It makes the point that logic can restrict creativity and passion.
I also like It's raining again.
